Commemorating the First Contact War, the Mass Effect Challenge Coin 1 is the first in a series of challenge coins brought to you by the Gear Store.

What started as a misunderstanding, referred to as the Relay 314 Incident by the turians, evolved into a war that lasted for 3 months. It would shape humanity’s view of other intelligent races, and their view of humanity, for years to come.

What are Challenge Coins?

Challenge coins are historically coins presented to military units by commanding officers in recognition of their service or special achievements in specific events or missions.
